2015: Overall, warmer temperatures than usual were registered. The rather mild start to winter gave way to noticeably lower temperatures by the end of the season, while spring saw above average temperatures. The year was characterised by scarce rainfall. However, rain did fall at the growth cycle and véraison, which, in turn, gave rise to exceptional quality grapes.

ASPECT: Clean with good depth. Deep crimson in colour with a violet rim.

AROMA: On the nose, this wine boasts hints of black and red fruit, in particular blackberries and raspberries. Spicy notes appear followed by vanilla and liquorish, which give rise to a serious, complex wine with nuances that evolve over time.

TASTE: Round tannins which burst with potential. A silky, clean wine with hints of fresh varietals that smokiness of wood. Pleasurable sensations hit the palate with every sip. The fruity aftertaste


CONSUMPTION: Ready to drink from time of purchase. Decant 30 minutes before serving.

FOOD PAIRING: Perfect with game birds and other products such as Iberian ham from acorn-fed pigs.

VINEYARD: Vineyard in the municipality of Pesquera de Duero. South facing at an altitude of over 800 metres above sea-level.

SURFACE AREA: A total of 200 hectares.

SOIL: Sandy-loam soils

CLIMATE: The dry, windy, Atlantic-continental climate boasts long, harsh, cold winters and short, dry, hot summers. The wettest month was November while the following months were slightly drier than expected. The scarce spring rainfall was brought to an end with incessant rain throughout June. Rainfall for July and August was within the averages recorded for the period.

HARVEST: Outstanding quality harvest, carried out in optimum sanitary conditions.

AGEING: 18 months in American oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle before being released on the market.
